How to Install Your Tractor Seat
How to Install Your Tractor Seat
Start by parking on level ground, setting the brake, and disconnecting the battery if your seat has wiring. Remove the old seat and any sliders or suspension you’re not reusing, saving the mounting bolts and noting any electrical connectors.
Test-fit the new seat or suspension base to the factory mounting holes, using adapter plates if needed so the seat sits level and centered behind the steering wheel and pedals. Bolt the seat or suspension down with the correct-grade hardware, add thread locker if recommended, and tighten everything firmly to prevent movement.
If the new seat includes a safety switch, heater, or air-suspension compressor, connect the wiring per the manufacturer diagram and secure the harness away from pinch points. Finish by adjusting weight setting, fore-aft slide, and backrest angle, then take a slow test drive over bumps to confirm the seat is solid, comfortable, and all safety interlocks still work properly.
