Wheel Spacers and Damage Control

Wheel spacers prevent damage when using tire chains by increasing the distance between the tire and the tractor’s frame, fenders, and suspension, ensuring proper chain clearance.

Spacers move the wheels outward from the hub, which greatly reduces the risk of chains rubbing against and damaging bodywork or critical components during turns, under load, or on uneven terrain.

Without spacers, even snug-fitting chains can contact the tractor frame or fenders, especially as tires flex, which leads to costly wear or physical damage.

By creating enough separation, spacers allow the chains to move freely without hitting rim edges or suspension parts, minimizing the chance of chain breakage or accidental damage.

Spacers also widen the tractor’s stance, improving overall stability and making winter operation safer when carrying heavy or top-heavy loads.
